Christmas!

Luggage packed up, kids dressed and we were off to Regina, SK Canada for 9 days for the Leitao Family Christmas!   We brought our car seat onto the plane this year and it was great to be able to strap the 5-point harness on Milo throughout the flight!  Although our flight was delayed a couple of hours, overall a good experience, especially now with the direct flight.  Thanks dad for waiting at the airport to pick us up!

As soon as we arrived, we left the next day for Saskatoon to see some of my old college friends.  It was great to see Erica, Anita, Tanya and their families for the first time!  Thanks to Cindy and Carl for letting us borrow your minivan!  Who knows, maybe this was a test drive for our future vehicle!

This was our first holiday spent in Grandma and Grandpa's new home.  It was fun to see Milo play with all of his cousins and have everyone see baby Anabelle for the first time!  We took lots of photos now that my brother and I bought similar DSLR cameras!

Christmas eve came quickly and after returning from Christmas mass we enjoyed lots of appetizers and wine.  In the morning, the stockings were full of gifts and the milk and cookies that were left on the table were eaten by Santa!  I fact later that morning, Santa himself made a special appearance to gift out gifts to all the cousins!  They all must have been very good this year!  Unfortunately Grandpa was not there to witness Santa as he mentioned he went upstairs to take a shower!  By the time he come downstairs Santa had already left!  Maybe next year Grandpa!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and managed to get our annual pokers games in.  As usual Darren bluffed many a hand, dad checked himself out and mom had all the cards and won the final game.  Maybe next time...

Unfortunately the last few days of our trip was overshadowed by the fact that both Milo and Anabelle got sick.  Congestion, coughs, and ear infections!  Oh well, that's life with kids.  Overall a great trip and we'll miss everyone until next time.
